Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have come under escalating attacks in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were hurt while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and faced problems to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Moscow has escalated attacks on power infrastructure over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but firm measures - from the United States, the EU and the Group of Seven - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing sanctions," he wrote in a public message.

Officials stated that 450 drones and over thirty projectiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles struck energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in the capital.

Several of the people hurt in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, per statements from local officials.
